Class of 1988

Lucinda Albeltaro (nee Grainger) (Italian)
Married Gabriele last year in Bath although we live and work in N Italy as, respectively, English teacher and nurse. Still in touch with Shelagh Wilde (nee Cockayne, Geog ’87), Paula Kesteloot-Flanagan (French and German ’88) and Duncan Law (Psychology ’87).

Edward Bithell (Biology)
14 years on, I finally write! After nine exhausting years teaching in inner city Birmingham primary schools myself, Claire, Maisie (3) and Huw (1) are ‘emigrating’ to sunny Devon for a less hectic lifestyle. Hi to everyone from ’85–’88.

Alison Field (nee Russell)
I’ve been in the Midlands since graduating, married to Richard (Roger, Robot!) with two children aged 5 and 3. Working part-time in HR for HSBC Bank. Still in touch with the De Grey Street crew but would love to hear from any others who sampled our punch!

Bruce Lawson (English)
James was born 1st April 2001. Marina turned three in January. I’m a brand manager for Wrox press/glasshaus ltd in Birmingham, publishing books on web development. Married, mortgage; nappies; no sleep. Mail me on b_c_lawson@hotmail.com

David Melton (Engineering)
Life at 40!! Married with two children, Ruth 4 and Henry 2, and living way out in the country. Changed jobs again, I now work for Cisco Systems and work from home as often as possible since it’s a long way from Harleston to Heathrow.

Adrian Parr (Biochemistry)
In March 2001 I began a year’s secondment to the French Civil Service. I had probably the most incredible 12 months of my life!

Stephen Ross (Law)
Part of the furniture at Clifford Chance. Fiona and I are blessed with two lovely children, Henry and Sophie. Best wishes to all, especially Gary, Tom, Malcolm, Kitten, Richard C. Reach me at Stephen.Ross@cliffordchance.com

Robert Sugden (Management Sciences)
Still teaching maths but now managing as well. Been doing that for 10 years and it seems a long time since I was selling Metros. Long Live FOBA.

Emma Taylor (Social Policy)
I am married and living in New York with our two American born sons. Having worked in advertising for the last 13 years I am currently taking a break to be home full time. My husband had a very close call on Sept 11 as he worked one block away from the twin towers, so this is a time to make family a priority.
